Screen Producers Australia (SPA) today announced the Australian and international production companies selected to participate in Global Connect, the organisation’s flagship co-production and partnership initiative taking place ahead of SCREEN FOREVER 40.
Held on Monday 27 April 2026 at the Burleigh Surf Club on the Gold Coast, Global Connect brings together a curated group of Australian and international producers for a dedicated day of relationship building, market insight and one-to-one meetings, designed to accelerate global partnerships and co-production opportunities.
Positioned as a producer-first initiative, Global Connect focuses on fostering early-stage connections between companies with aligned creative and commercial ambitions, supporting the development of globally scalable film and television projects.
Participating international production companies include Studio OCON (Korea), Sweetshop TV (New Zealand), Tri Moon Films (Ireland), The Idea First Company (Philippines), Epicmedia Productions (Philippines), Sinking Ship Entertainment (Canada) and Eagle Vision (Canada).
They will be joined by Australian production companies Nora R & D Production (NT), Midwinter Entertainment (NSW), Greenlight Entertainment Group (NSW), Photoplay Films (NSW), Corner Table Productions Australia (SA), Princess Pictures (VIC), Australia Production House (VIC), WRT Films (WA), SGT Productions (NSW), BOHO Films (WA), Parc Entertainment (QLD) and Roaring Tribes (QLD).
Participating screen organisations include the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), Film Development Council of the Philippines, Screen Queensland and Gold Coast Film Commission and Screen Australia, providing participants with valuable insight into international markets, funding frameworks and co-production pathways.
SPA CEO Matthew Deaner said Global Connect continues to play an important role in strengthening Australia’s position within the global production landscape.
“Global Connect is designed to bring producers together at an early stage, where relationships are formed and ideas begin to take shape,” Mr Deaner said.
“In a market where financing is more complex and partnerships are increasingly essential, creating the conditions for meaningful collaboration is critical to getting projects made.”
Global Connect prioritises curated, high-value interactions, ensuring participants can focus on building long-term partnerships and exploring practical pathways to co-production.
The initiative forms part of the broader SPA Connect Market, with participants continuing their engagement across Australia’s premier screen industry event, SCREEN FOREVER 40, 28–30 April 2026 on Queensland's Gold Coast.
